Tait Waterfront Pavilion / Richmond BC

The Tait pavilion was an extensive design-build project that introduced students to the fundamentals of building a public art project from concept design, working with engineers to complex steel and wood fabrication techniques. Tait Pavilion takes inspiration from both Pacific Northwest vernacular architecture and the movement of the park’s bordering Fraser River. With unobstructed sight lines and a lifted, buoyant roof structure, the Tait Pavilion was designed as an inspiring and inclusive public space.
